INE ID for Minors
In our state, the next elections for deputies and city council will be on July 1st, 2018. Keeping that in mind the “Instituto Nacional Electoral” better known as INE for its initials in Spanish (National Electoral Institute) communicated that all the Mexicans teenagers that will be 18 years old by July 1st,2018 can process their INE ID which will allow them to vote and will be considered as an official ID.
¿How can I get this INE?
You must go to the nearest INE module with all the documentation required. The documents that you will need to process it are: nationality document, the next thing is proof of address and the last one is an ID with your photograph in it.
In the INE module, you will need to fill a digital format with your personal data, capture your fingerprints, take a photo, digitize your documents, and sign on a tablet.
Then they will give you a printed format to review your data, you must check if all the information is correct because it will be on your official ID. To finish all the process they will give you a receipt that you will need to sign and put your fingertips on (by hand).
It is really important that you keep your receipt because it will tell you the date from which you can pick up your ID.
