The Workshops

Here in Colegios Bosques, we have six different workshops on mondays and wednesdays, from 13:00 to 14:40, The workshops are: plastic arts, soccer, tennis, tae-kwon-do, cheer-dance and basketball. This new modality is having a good impact and opinion from the students.

We took the time to interview some students from the different workshops to ask them what they think about them:

Joshua Espinosa.- In Basket

"Here in basket we have a Cuban coach, which is nice because we have some cultural diversity and learn new things; and by the way our coach is very good."

María Jose Vasquez.- In TaeKwondo

I like my extra activity because it's very fun to do, also I do a lot of exercise so I feel good about doing extra. Also in tae-kwon-do you learn to defend yourself and at the same time respect others."

Ignacio Rubalcaba.- in Cheer-Dance

"For me the cheer-dance workshop is very good, incredible. I live a very pleasant atmosphere because my colleagues have fun. I believe that with this workshop you practice your flexibility and coordination; also the teacher is very sweet and understanding, so I hope people understand that this workshop is not only for girls but also for boys."

"The soccer workshop is a very cool project we are developing, the coach has a great aspirations for all of us that make the team and has great knowledge of the game."

I think it is really cool, because if you dont’t know how to play it, the teacher will teach you and help you. The teacher doesn't pay more attention to the ones that konw the most, he distributes his time to be equal with both groups, so that it is really important for this kind of workshops. He also motivates you so you can be better everyday."

As the interviews show we like the workshops, because it is something new for the high school, since there were optional before. It's a new way to coexist with our classmates in a more relaxed environment were we can have fun and express ourselves.
