Solidarity among Artists
Natural disaster has devastated our planet in recent weeks. Just recently Houston Texas was affected by hurricane Harvey. Severe wind and rain destroyed homes and business leaving residence temporary refugees. The hurricane not only destroyed homes but took lifes. The city was left devastated and in much need of repair. Shortly after hurricane Harvey hit it was followed my hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma being one of the most powerful storms to hit the Atlantic of over a century.
All this devastation has moved the entertainment music industry and musicians to come together in an effort to raise money to help those affected by the storm. “Hand in Hand “is the name of the tour that will take place in the United States on September 12 in New York City, Nashville, San Antonio and Los Angeles. It is estimated that the tour will raise approximately 14 million dollars for hurricane relief. Some of the performers at the show will be Demi Lovato, Usher, George Straight, Blake Shelton and Ariana Grande just to name a few. It is admirable to see that these performers would give their time for such a noble cause. During the televised event viewers are advised to call in with donations. As a community, we should come together to help those in need because you never know when we might be the ones in need.
