Letter from the Editor-in-Chief: “The Dream team”
Dear reader, welcome to The Quill’s first edition.
To start let me tell you the importance of this project. But no, I’m not talking about how communication is important for our society or how to have a scholar newspaper will change a lot of things inside our school. I’m talking about something more personal.
This newspaper started as an idea, an idea that I was trusted to be in charge of. An idea that became a personal dream I shared with 25 teenagers who were brave enough to participate in something new that involved a lot of risks, stress and pressure. They trusted in the idea, in the dream and worked hard for weeks. They took care of the project as if they were professional journalists and not only as students of a subject.
These are teenagers researching, writing, editing and publishing their thoughts on the media. Teenagers who know how to take the perfect picture, teenagers who know how to create a web site and how to manage social media. These are potential journalist who I’m proud to work with.
Welcome to the dream.
